Besarani, established in 1949 in Sulaimania, Kurdistan, became renowned for its exceptional quality, exquisite designs, and attention to detail on silk products. After Mr. Besarani Senior's retirement, the company was re-established in London in 1995 by Mr. K and Mrs. S Besarani. Specializing in burn out velvet-silk and other varieties of silk, Besarani has become a landmark for remarkable quality in its field. Their scarves and garments, including handmade pieces, have been worn by celebrities such as Kate Moss and Jo Brand.
