A Day Without Lesbians is Like a Day Without Sunshine t-shirt from Rainbow & Co. The 'A Day Without Lesbians...' slogan was first introduced at the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day parade in 1979. It was a response to anti-LGBT views of Anita Bryant, a well-known political activist who appeared in commercials for the Florida Citrus Commission using the phrase 'Breakfast Without Orange Juice is Like a Day Without Sunshine.' In protest, activists created their own versions of the slogan, including the lesbian version featured in this design. Featuring a classic chequered background with a retro style sunshine cartoon character, printed on a vintage white 100% organic crew neck shirt.
